Information Design: Final Project

For the final project, we were asked to make an infographic video, comparing 2 subjects with the same topic.

So my group sat down and discussed with each other on what topic we would want to include. We then decided that it would be interesting to explain the big difference of the beauty standards between Korea and America. We then decided that the title of the video will be Beauty Breakdown. 

After deciding on the topic, we then moved on to some brief research, as we have to present our ideas in class, to our lecturers and the students.

Planning

After some brief researches, we then moved onto planning how the video would look like. We did a brief sketch of each scene along with the transitions. Besides that, Yameen (who will be illustrating the elements and I will be assisting in) decided on the artstyle and the colours that will be used. Jane and Joanna on the other hand wrote out the script that will be used in the video. Debbie will be in charge of animating the elements.

After that, we decided to make a draft (Trial) / rough animatics so that we will have a clearer direction of what the video will look like. The video below is produced by Yameen and Debbie was in charge of compiling the video together. I was in charge of the voice acting.

It took quite some time for the illustrations to be done as they are all drawn on photoshop. So after, the illustration process is complete, Debbie then started to animate the elements in After Effects.
